Tourism Saskatchewan is a Treasury Board Crown Corporation that promotes Saskatchewan as a tourism destination through marketing and the development of sustainable and culturally diverse tourism experiences.

While Tourism Saskatchewan focuses mainly on promoting the province to visitors, they also provide education and training, support and other resources to the five industries that make up the Saskatchewan tourism sector: Accommodation, food and beverage, travel services, transportation, and recreation and entertainment.

Operators of those industries can receive business support, training, resources and tools on the Tourism Saskatchewan industry website, all of which are designed to train, upskill and support industry operators to push the Saskatchewan Tourism industry forward.

Promoting Hunting & Fishing In Saskatchewan

Fishtank built a website for Tourism Saskatchewan to promote hunting and fishing experiences and outfitters to both out of province travellers, as well as locals. The website features information about the species you can catch and hunt in Saskatchewan, an advanced outfitters search engine, travel offers, and stories and experiences of anglers and hunters to inspire prospective travellers.

Marketing Through Stories & Experiences

Fishtank developed a Stories & Experiences blog to share and promote the tales of Saskatchewan anglers and hunters. The blog is a powerful promotional tool that markets businesses through social proof, and allows Tourism Saskatchewan to connect with and strengthen their relationship with their target audience. The blogs feature social sharing buttons, related stories and a component that shares photos from hunters and anglers directly from Instagram to promote engagement.

Advanced Outfitter A.I. Search Engine

Visitors can easily find an outfitter that suits the experience they’re looking for with the advanced outfitter search engine that Fishtank built. The search engine features advanced filters and sorting options, and integrates with Tripadvisor so visitors can sort by Tripadvisor rating, and find the right lodge or outfitter quickly and easily.

Travel Offers

Fishtank developed a Travel Offers filter in the search engine, as well as a travel offers component to promote offers of outfitters and lodges. This feature targets those who are more price sensitive, or those just waiting for a great deal, and also offers tourism operators the opportunity to promote their offers on a site that’s visited by their target audience who are comparing outfitters and lodges.
