Keeping Up With Sitecore's Product Portfolio

With Sitecore’s $1.2B investment at the beginning of 2021, Sitecore has been acquiring a number of new companies to add to its growing product portfolio.

Sitecore has rebranded each acquisition to a new Sitecore product, however it can get confusing keeping up with it all.

I wanted to create this blog to outline all of Sitecore’s products in their portfolio, and make it a nice summary for anyone who has had trouble keeping up.

Sitecore Experience Manager (Sitecore XM)

Sitecore Experience Manager is Sitecore’s content management system (CMS).

It gives users the ability to manage a number of websites (including multilingual sites and content) in one instance, offers integration with third-party apps and gives users the ability to deliver content across a number of devices and channels.

Sitecore Experience Platform (Sitecore XP)

Sitecore Experience Platform consists of Sitecore’s CMS (Sitecore Experience Manager), as well as additional digital marketing tools like personalization, marketing automation, email marketing, advanced analytics and omni-channel automation.

One of my favourite features of Sitecore XP is that it gives you a 360 degree view of your customers and their journey on the site, and the marketing automation features let you nurture your prospects without the need for an additional marketing automation app.

Sitecore Experience Commerce (Sitecore XC)

Sitecore Experience Commerce is Sitecore’s full-suite commerce platform that allows users to implement personalized buying experiences.

It lets users create custom storefronts with headless architecture and streamlines everything including supplier orders, inventory management and order fulfillment.

Sitecore Content Hub

Sitecore Content Hub is Sitecore’s SaaS content lifecycle management tool.

It gives users the ability to manage content strategy, planning, creation, collaboration, optimization, distribution and measurement in one place, across the content’s lifetime.

With Content Hub, users get a 360 degree view of their content landscape, so they can manage all their assets in one place, and can take advantage of A.I. for content tagging using Image Similarity.

Sitecore Customer Data Platform

Sitecore CDP is an A.I. customer data platform that personalizes experiences for users and offers decisioning, experimentation and optimization capabilities.

It gives marketers the ability to capture, unify and use omnichannel customer data to segment prospects, target with 1-1 experiences and give visitors next best actions regardless of what channels they’re using.

Sitecore OrderCloud

Sitecore OrderCloud is a headless, API-first commerce platform that offers customizability, scalability, extensibility and agility for commerce business needs.

Users can design their own commerce solution by using OrderCloud to power custom eCommerce experiences and order management, with B2B marketplace apps for some of the world’s biggest brands.

Sitecore Send

Sitecore Send is a marketing automation and campaign management platform that has A.I. powered capabilities and gives marketers the ability to streamline content, interactions and responses across channels.

It offers everything you’d expect a marketing automation platform to do, but my favourite feature is the drag and drop email template creator. No more getting developers involved everytime you want a new email newsletter layout!

Reflektion

Reflektion is an A.I. powered digital search platform.

The brand has only recently been bought by Sitecore (sale to be finalized September 2021), and is yet to be rebranded to a Sitecore product.
